Leroy Campbell Gallery
A self taught artist, Campbell art work is influenced by his experiences of growing up in Monck's Corner, around the people of the Gullah.
His art work is well known for its silhouette images, elongated necks, arms and legs. Working in mixed media of collage, charcoal, Ink, pastels, acrylics, old African American Newspapers, fabrics and found objects. Inspiration for his collage work came from two of the artist who influenced him the most Jacob Lawrence and Romare Bearden.
